Making South Asian case law universally accessible
Millions of court decisions have been handed down across Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. For decades that wealth of legal reasoning sat locked in physical law reports, accessible only to those with the resources and proximity to retrieve them.
SALP changes that. We have digitised, tagged, and cross-linked this corpus so that a junior advocate in Quetta can access the same depth of precedent research as a senior barrister in Lahore — in seconds, not days.
We layer artificial intelligence on top of this corpus not to replace legal judgment, but to amplify it: surfacing relevant precedent, flagging whether cases remain good law, and helping practitioners draft stronger arguments.
SALP has been in development since 2022, working with the legal community to build a platform that reflects how Pakistani lawyers actually research.
